Pretty in Pink, Neutrals and Everything Girly

Baby Isla arrived at the studio and she was the tiniest, most petite little thing I had seen. This was mom and dads first little baby so they wanted to make her photoshoot extra special. They chose a color palette of pink, neutrals and everything girly. My studio is full of gorgeous little accessories and props, so it was a lot of fun putting together baby Isla’s session.
Baby Isla was such a good sleeper! She snoozed through her entire session and we were able to capture a large variety of gorgeous photos. She looked so pretty amongst the pinks, pretty lace and beautiful florals.
Bean Bag Photos
Bean Bag Photos are the adorable little photo you see of the baby when they are all curled up. They are called this because they are usually photographed on a Bean Bag. These are beautiful simplistic photographs capturing all the little adorable features of your newborn. The reason Newborn Sessions are photographed in those first couple of weeks of the newborn’s life is so that they can still be curled up into these cute adorable poses. Fresh from the womb, they still love to be swaddled firmly and curled up creating a feeling of security and comfort for them.
Prop Photos
Prop Photos are used to describe the photographs taken of the newborn where they are posed in a prop. This is usually a wooden crate, a basket, floral wreath or whatever is used to style the set up. Often the baby is swaddled, but also quite often they are posed very naturally within the prop. Isla’s Mother really wanted to incorporate some eucalyptus greenery into her set ups, therefor her set ups were designed and styled around that.
Special Edits
Special Edits are something I love to include into my FULL Newborn Sessions. These are photographs that usually require some sort of additional photoshop editing. They tend to be more creative photos of the newborn and often the baby will be posed and photographed on the bean bag and then super imposed into the digital background to create a magical photograph of your Newborn. Because they require so much extra editing, there is a limit to the number of special edits per session. These were a couple of Baby Isla’s Special Edits.
Parent Photos
I love Parent Photos! Parent photographs are included in all FULL Newborn Sessions. These are some of my favorite. You can see how happy mom and dad are to hold their brand new precious newborn. There is always so much love in these photos.
