Baby Myla has her photograph taken on her Mother’s Wedding Dress

 

I have photographed a lot of Newborn Babies over the past and strangely enough have never been asked to photograph a newborn on their mothers Wedding Dress. When Myla’s mother decided to bring in her dress for her photo shoot, I was excited for the challenge. It is always fun trying something new and I love the opportunity to get creative. Photographing a newborn on a huge wedding dress is much more difficult than it sounds. Especially when there is lots of tulle and lace for the baby to get lost in. I wanted it to be simple and artistic, utilizing the dress but also making sweet little Myla the focus of attention. The wedding dress was so beautiful, detailed with pearls and lace and Myla’s little pearl headband coordinated perfectly. I think this photograph is every mother’s fairytale!

Of course there was a lot more to Myla’s Newborn Session. Fairy wings and Unicorns. This was every little girls dream session! Soft Pinks and lace. Myla was so perfect and giving us lots of little smiles through out the session.

Myla’s Mother’s favorite color is soft pastel blue. She wanted to have some photos of her baby girl in Blue. Baby girls in blue is literally my favorite! I was so excited when she requested this! Blue is such a beautiful color. Why save it just for boys!

Myla’s Nursery theme was soft pinks and grey with stars and moon. So of course we had to do something special to match her nursery!

This next set up with the dried dusty lavender, the crochet silk bonnet and the antique lace might just be my absolute favorite set up I have done so far.
