I was so excited when my client asked for the BEE ONE Cake Smash. It’s mid winter here in CT and I needed some happy spring vibes to look forward too! This little Bee was one of my Newborn Graduates, back again to document her first birthday. It always makes my heart happy to see these babies again and watch them grow (way too fast!)
NBP offers a few types of Cake Smash Sessions. The most popular session is the DELUXE & DELUXE PLUS Cake Smash which is custom theme chosen by the client.
My favorite part about cake smash sessions is creating and designing the sets. The creativity is what I love! It is always a challenge finding the perfect little details to make the final touches and bring together someones vision and inspiration.
Thankfully, spring decor was starting to arrive in the stores, so shopping for this session was so fun! Her amazing cake by Kelly Sweet Rewards was just the absolute perfect final touch!
Pre Cake Smash Portrait Photos
Before they get down and dirty with the cake, we spend a little time becoming accustomed to the environment and capturing some simple portrait photos of the baby. This usually involves a couple of simple set ups that usually tie in with the theme of the session. In this case, some yummy honey snacks!

Post Cake Smash Bubble Bath.
This might be the BEST part of the session. Honestly, I think half the time the babies LOVE the Bubble Bath way more than the actual cake. Who would have figured. Bubble baths are a great way to clean off and also get some splash time in!
She loved the bath, until she splashed herself right in the face. Then it was game over!
