I know you all must think I’m a little crazy. But I literally spend most of my days taking photographs of other peoples babies, that is just felt fitting to celebrate my little girls special day with some obligatory Birthday Photos.

All my children are the four legged fury kind, and more specifically, the stretched out long dachshund kind. Meet Heidi! Heidi is my first born. I go through the OMG moments where you look back over the past 12 years and you wonder where did the time go! As I get older, time seems to go by faster. Heidi is my soul puppy. She has been through everything with me! I got her in my late 20’s when life was just amazing and the reality of being an adult still didn’t exist. She has been by my side during the the most amazing moments of my life and snuggling me through the very very worst days.

Life is short. Eat Cake!

Heidi was turning 12, so I wanted to do something special this year! Why not a Wiener Dog Dachshund Cake Smash?!! I wasn’t sure if she would even participate. Heidi HATES hates hates the camera annnnnd she is not so fussed on food. Thankfully, she is starting to work for treats. It has only taken 12 years! lol A couple of little kibble in the frosting made her inquisitive enough to taste it. Honestly, I wouldn’t have done this if she was a food whore. Cake is not so good for dogs. My other dachshund Nigel would have inhaled this whole cake in 2.5 seconds and then be pooping green frosting for dayzzzz!
