July 4th, It’s Your Birthday!
July is the Best month for Birthdays! The month I get to celebrate with all my fellow Cancerian’s! Being a July 5 baby, most of my fellow friends are suffering from massive hangovers on my Birthday! But not for baby Madi! The whole country celebrates with her!
I had so much fun designing and prepping for this session. I was so glad mom wanted to incorporate the 4th of July theme for their baby girl. Little Miss Madi was a superstar! She partied like a rockstar!
Pre Cake Smash Portraits
We started the session off with some cute portrait photos. This babe just smiled and giggled the whole session. It is always so much fun for me when the babyies are having the time of their lives. She had just learnt to stand and walk a few steps on her own, so she was showing us all how to do it.
The Cake Smash
Its always a 50/50 chance whether the baby is going to like the cake. Some babies love it, some hate it, and others would rather just not get their hands dirty. Madi could not get enough frosting in her mouth at one time! I love it when they dip that first initial finger into the cake frosting and get that first taste of SUGAR on their tongue! You just never now which way its going to go. But for Madi, her eyes lit up, and from that point on it was ‘Get in my Belly’!
Bath Time!
The only way to clean up the baby is to put them in the BATH! After every Smash Cake Session we have a mini bubble bath to get all that frosting off. Often the babies love the bath more than the cake. I’d say Madi loved both equally as much.
Outdoor Add On
Clients can choose the option to add on a short family session prior to their Cake Smash. This mini session allows just enough time to capture some cute candid photos with mom and dad (and siblings). The session is short and sweet so that baby doesn’t get too exhausted before their actual cake smash shoot. It is so perfect for some updated family photos!
