I figured I would pull together this quick BLOG Post to pass along some more detailed information for 2024 Christmas Mini Sessions. I have been getting a lot of questions from past and new clients and just wanted to get all this information out there in one spot so that it is accessible to everyone.

What you Need to Know about Holiday MINI SESSIONS

NBP Holiday Mini Sessions are short 20 minute holiday sessions aimed at providing my clients with a fun styled holiday session for the perfect Holiday Card Photos!
All Mini Session Base Packages are 20 minutes long and come with 5 professionally edited high res digital files.

How Mini Sessions Work
Mini Sessions are short 20 minute sessions that run back to back, one after the other. They are a great way to capture a handful of fun styled photos without having to invest in a FULL NBP session experience.
I provide a detailed set up on the day of your session and clients arrive at their designated times to have their holiday photos taken. Roughly 5-15 days after your session, clients are provided with an edited gallery at which point they can choose their 5 favorite photos to keep from their session. After viewing your photos, you are welcome to stick to the pre-purchased package or upgrade and purchase additional images. Upgrades are completely optional. Once clients have chosen their photos (and paid in full for any upgrades), photos will be provided in digital format in an online gallery for clients to download.
Online Galleries will be available for 2 weeks ONLY, so please make sure to download right away. A re-accessing fee will apply if galleries need to be re-uploaded for you to download.
All digital products and downloads are final. There are not exchange or return on digital files.
HELLO TO NEW CLIENTS!
I am always excited to meet new families every year! It brings me so much joy and I can not wait to capture some fun beautiful holiday photos for your family! A lot of clients who come to my Mini Sessions are also Past Clients whom I have met before and know well! Either way, I want you to know that I am going to capture the best possible photos for your family on the day of your session. That being said, Mini Session Days are rather hectic for a photographer. We are trying to make a lot of toddlers smile and on a super time crunch down to the minute! For all those NEW Clients this year, I can not wait to meet you, but I want to apologize in advance if I am a sweaty mess when you meet me for the first time. I probably most definitely will not be the best version of myself that I would want to start any relationship on lol, but hopefully you can forgive me. If you are NEW this year, I ask that you reach out to me via email and say Hello! 20 minutes doesn’t give me much time to connect with New Clients, and on the day I will be focused on capturing awesome photos for you. So please, do not be afraid to reach out earlier and touch base with me prior to your session so we are not strangers on the day! I look forward to meeting YOU and your Family!
Rain Dates
EVERY SESSION has a designated RAIN DATE. It is very important when booking your session that you are also available for your designated rain date. All rain dates are listed in the initial online booking site. Please make sure to KNOW YOUR RAIN DATE. If the weather is bad on the day of your session, sessions will be rescheduled to the rain date. Clients will keep their original chosen times and the entire day of sessions is rescheduled to the RAIN DATE in the same order.
There are NO REFUNDS if sessions needs to be rescheduled to their Rain Date and Clients can not make it.
So please make sure to block this date off too.
The Fine Details
Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferrable (no exceptions). If you find out you have a conflict, I am happy to move you to another slot IF available if provided with AT LEAST 14 days notice. I can not promise I will have any spots to offer you as sessions usually sell out right away. If you reach out to me early enough, and I am able to find someone to purchase your spot, then I will refund or transfer your deposit. If you reach out to me closer to your session date, and the spot can not be filled, I am sorry but your deposit will NOT be refundable. This is a spot I could have sold to another client and therefor it will now go un-purchased. Sessions can not be transferred to other NBP sessions.
Rain Dates – There are no refunds if you can not make your rain date. Please make sure to book a date that you can also make the rain date.
If you are LATE to your session I can NOT extend your session. All sessions run back to back and therefor if you are late to your session, your session time is reduced by the amount of time you are late. I recommend all clients plan to arrive 10-20 minutes early and BE READY for your session AT your designated time. Please make sure to walk up towards where your session will take place so that we can start on time!
PLEASE KNOW, I am not trying to be a hard-ass with all of these ‘rules’. I honestly try to do my best at being as accommodating as possible for everyone. Mini Session Days involve a lot of organizing. There are anywhere from 10-20 families involved per day. There are a lot of moving parts, and for the day to run smoothly I have to implement certain criteria to allow for everyones sessions to run smoothly and successfully. I love you all and I want your session to be stress free and fun!
Q & A
- Can I Bring my DOG? Dogs will only be allowed to Rustic Fall, Red Truck and VW Bug Beatle Sessions. All other sessions dogs are not allowed, due to location rules and safety of clients. Please note, that the sessions that dogs will be allowed to attend, they will be only included in either the first or last 5 mins of your session. I LOVE all dogs (I have three of my own) but they can be distracting for the little ones. I just want to make sure that I make the best use of your time and am able to capture as many gorgeous photos as possible during your session. Pease make sure ALL dogs are LEASHED and please pick up after you dog. This is a private property.
- Can I Bring my Grandparents? NO unfortunately mini sessions are IMMEDIATE Family ONLY (parents and children). If you want to do an extended family session, you will have to book multiple back to back mini session slots to allow time. If this is something you want to do, please contact me directly.
- Do I get to pick my photos? Yes Of course! Fall and Studio minis will be provided with a soft proof gallery for you to pick your photos. All other session I will provide you with an EDITED online gallery of the best photos from your session.
- Where is the link to Book? The Link to BOOK will be emailed out to everyone on my email list. If you are reading this and it is after the Mid August Release Date, please email me for the LINK TO BOOK
- Do you provide all the props? I provide everything except your outfits! Client Closet is not available for mini sessions. All the props and fun things you see in all the photos are available for your session. There will be plenty of cool things for your kids to utilize for their photos!
- Can I take photos on my cell phone during the session? Short answer is NO. Cell phones are not permitted during your holiday session without permission. Please do not have parents/grandparents come along and take cell phone photos in the background. They will be asked to leave. If you have a specific request, please contact me directly to see if we can accommodate.
