Most people think I spend most of my days photographing Babies and Bumps. The truth is though, I actually shoot a LOT of Family Sessions during the warmer New England Months. I honestly LOVE family sessions with all my being. As an adult I look back on the photos my parents took of us when we were little, and I can still feel the love and joy they surrounded my childhood with. I am blessed with happy memories and the feeling of being a part of a family.
My goal when photographing a family session is to capture those moments and memories that make you a family. I love the details, all the tiny details. The fingers swirling locks of hair, picking flowers, the tight hug from a loved one. These are the details that are so often missed, but so full of love and fond memories. You know when you hear a song from your teenage years, you can take yourself right back to where you were and exactly what you were doing when that song came out? I want these photos to take you back. I want them to help you feel the love and memories that connect you as a family.
Family Photoshoot
We all want the traditional Family Photos where we are all smiling looking at the camera. Don’t get me wrong. I love these too. I have one of my family hanging in my living room. But for me, I want to capture all the other little details. The candid chaos. My Family Photoshoots are a combination of more ‘posed’ and then mostly candid. Your session will be fun for the kids, with lots of hugs, tickles and laughing. We play games, run around and pick flowers.
