Summer Watermelon Cake Smash
Well, it is far from Summer now, but I have sooooo much BLOG catching up to do. There were so many fun Cake Smash First Birthday Sessions that took place over the last few months, and now that I have a few seconds to spare, I thought I would share them all with you!
Baby Parker was one of my little Newborn Baby Graduates. It is so fun seeing the little newborns as they come into the studio at just two weeks old, and then a whole year later meeting these small humans that have grown into tiny people!
Parker’s Mom chose a Watermelon Theme for her session. Parker literally loved cake as much as I do.

My favorite part about cake smash sessions is creating and designing the sets. The creativity is what I love! It is always a challenge finding the perfect little details to make the final touches and bring together someones vision and inspiration.
Pre Watermelon Cake Smash Photos
Before they get down and dirty with the cake, we spend a little time becoming accustomed to the environment and capturing some simple portrait photos of the baby. This involves a couple of simple set ups that usually tie in with the theme of the session.

This theme was absolutely perfect. Bright, vibrant and totally matched Parker’s personality. She really had fun smashing the cake! Not all babies love smashing the cake, but this little lady nailed it!
