Baby Mila’s Cake Smash Session was SO MUCH FUN! Her mom came to me and wanted to celebrate Mila’s first birthday with a very simple but elegant set up for her baby girl! We went with greenery and a touch of soft peach floral. It was just perfect because it allowed baby Mila’s huge personality to take the show! This little girl was full of smiles and sweet little giggles. She loved every set up we had for her and her mom and I spent most of the session laughing.

 

Pre- Cake Smash Portrait Photos

 

Before we actually get down and dirty with the cake smashing part, I like to capture some sweet portraits of the babies! My goal is to capture their fun personalities and adorable smiles. Mila was full of smiles. We brought out the vintage bath tub and played with a few other simple portrait set ups.

 

 

The Cake Smash!

 

Mila’s cake was GORGEOUS! I have a local baker that I provide for my clients and they do such a phenomenal job of making Birthday Cakes for my sessions. This one was exquisite and coordinated with our set up so perfectly! Mila was a little cautious at first, but once she got that first hit of sugar there was no stopping her. At one point her eagerness made the cake go flying! It was so much fun to watch.

 

 

The Mini Milk Bath

 

After the messy part, we end the session with a mini milk bath! The babies always LOVE bath time. It usually ends in more mess than the actual cake smashing. But it is so much fun to watch them laugh and splash around!
