Connecticut Best First Birthday Cake Smash Photographer
I have been photographing baby Sarah since she was two weeks old! This little girl to this date is the happiest, most smiliest baby I have ever photographed. I absolutely adore her!!! I was so excited for her cake smash session and to see this little munchkin again.
French Chic Cake Smash First Birthday
Sarah’s Cake Smash Session had a French Chic theme. White washed brick, birch wood ladder, an old window pane, vintage lace and fine tea cups. All then delicately decorated with soft pink florals and eucalyptus. This might be one of my favorite sets so far.
Pre Cake Smash Portrait Photos
But before we get into the Cake Smash, every session starts with some adorable pre portrait photos to capture those adorable smiles and the baby’s personality. Sarah was not short of smiles and personality. Keeping with her theme, we used the vintage bath tub and a few other fun vintage inspired props. Her outfits were chosen from the designer wardrobe available to all clients.
The Cake Smash – French Chic
And now for the fun part! This beautiful naked cake was created by a wonderful local baker – Kelly’s Sweet Rewards located in Brookfield, CT. She makes the majority of my cakes for my Cake Smash Sessions. Sarah was so delicate when it came to ‘smashing’ her cake. Rather poking it and gently prodding it! Each to their own. I don’t think she believed that it was all hers. But the smiles and those cute facial expressions. I think I laughed the entire session.
Post Cake Smash Bubble Bath
Every Session ends with a bubble bath. The gold foot claw bath tub fit so well within Sarah’s French Chic theme. It took her a while to warm up, but once she realized she was allowed to splash around and make a mess, there was no stopping her! I think she enjoyed her Bubble bath more than the cake smashing!
