Pregnancy is one of the most beautiful things in the world. For nine months, you are creating life! Then, for however many years after that you are moulding and shaping a little soul into being the best little human being they possibly can be. Every mother deserves to have stunning photographs during their pregnancy. A chance to remember and hold on to those wonderful memories. 

 

I would be a billionaire if I got a penny for every mother who told me she doesn’t think she is game enough to capture ‘nude’ photographs of herself pregnant. It sure does take bravery to jump out of your comfort zone and allow yourself to be seen, but the reward is so amazing! None of my mothers walk into the studio completely confident with the task that lies ahead of them. It is my job to make you feel comfortable, to help give direction and make you feel beautiful. The thing is… YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL!!! I always promise them, the first 5 minutes may feel a little ‘weird’ but after that, you will be full of adrenaline and enjoying yourself in no time. And it is always true! We play their favorite music, we laugh and joke and I help them every step of the way. When I photograph these women, I see shapes, lines, light and shadows. I see visions of complete photographs and I see beauty. I never see a naked woman standing in front of me. Only a powerful, amazing brave woman.

 

 

Bringing the Session Outdoors

 

My Sessions are not ALL studio though. If you know me even a little, you now that I love the outdoors and nature! I love capturing the beauty of pregnancy in the golden light of sunset within the realms of nature surrounding us. The last part of my sessions involve going outside to catch the last of the daylight. These photos are a little more candid and allow husbands and any other children to join in. It can get a little chilly in the winter months, but the dreamy magic light of the winter sun makes it all worth it. This beautiful couple were so comfortable together, and the gorgeous red gown made scenes straight from a fairy tale.
