Offering a Fusion of Studio & Outdoor Maternity Sessions
I have been shooting Outdoor Maternity Sessions for a while now. I love how organic and beautiful a pregnant mother looks amongst nature. Mother nature helps radiate this inner beauty and softness that just makes you step back in awe at this amazing thing these women are doing – carrying a New Life! Just over a year ago I opened my Bridgwater Studio and thus have been offering Studio Maternity Sessions. I am totally obsessed with photographing Maternity Sessions in my Studio! While nature brings out this beautiful softness, the studio captures the power and strength of these women! I am so lucky that my Studio is nestled in the woods amongst the fields and gorgeous sunsets because now I am able to offer my mothers a fusion of both Studio and Outdoor Maternity Sessions. We start the session in the Studio capturing the strength and raw beauty of pregnancy and then head outside and wonder amongst nature capturing the organic softness of this beautiful journey.
Studio Maternity Session
The studio portion of the session takes place in my Bridgewater home Studio. The studio is set up with backdrops and lighting to best capture the the beauty and strength of pregnancy. Partners and even children are welcome. I try to create an atmosphere that is relaxed to enable my mothers to feel as comfortable as possible. The type and style of the photographs is completely left up to the comfort level of my client. The following are some beautiful examples of the types of photographs that can be captured within the studio.
Outdoor Maternity Session
I am so lucky that my studio is nestled in the woods of Connecticut. This allows the opportunity to offer my clients a combination of Studio and Outdoor Maternity Sessions. After the Studio portion of the session, we can head outside to catch the magic sunset light and take some beautiful photos amongst nature. I love that every time I capture photos outside it is completely different depending on the season. The open fields, the trickling rivers and the gorgeous sunsets, make for some amazing on location maternity photos. This is a great opportunity for husbands and children to join in to capture some more family orientated images.
