This winter has been a slow one. Not as brutal as many other Connecticut winters in the past. As a photographer you become in tune with the seasons and the weather, as many of your location shoots depend on mother nature. My client came to me with a dream of a magical snow winter Maternity Session. Shooting in the snow is one of my favorite things. I hate the cold, but the magic always takes your breath away. We literally waited for months to capture this session. I think mother nature was purposely teasing us with sleet and ice storms. But we waited long enough and eventually the snow did come. Not only did the snow come but the sun came out with a blissful sunset. It was perfection.
This couple were amazing. Stunningly dressed and braved the cold temperatures. When you see the photos though, you can see that it was worth it!
All the photos were taken on the location around the studio. We are lucky to be blessed with such beautiful New England country side around here. Gorgeous open fields, stone walls, rustic barns and old horse fences. We spent a short time in the evening chasing the golden light and braving the cold. After our expedition in the snow, we also took it back to the studio for some simple clean white studio photos. I love how simple and elegant these came out.
