I love designing Cake Smash set ups! The options are endless. When you add the opportunity for garden greenery, lace and boho accents, well, then you found my happy place! Arden’s mother contacted me a couple of months before her First Birthday. She wanted to celebrate Arden’s special day with an elegant and beautiful Cake Smash Session. She decided on a garden theme with pink floral and boho accents. My little wooden tee pee is one of my most requested props for my cake smash sessions. It is sooo adorable and was made by hand by my husband (who is a handy craftsman of wood). I loved this chic little garden set up!
We started Arden’s Cake Smash Session with a few portrait photos with a couple of different simple props in the studio. Usually the Littles are just learning to take their first steps by the time their Cake Smash Session comes around. They love to stand up holding onto one of my baby garden chairs. Then if I am lucky, I will catch them trying to take a few steps on their own.
Arden was pretty shy at first. But it wasn’t long till her little personality started to shine.
My absolute favorite prop is the four legged Baby Bath! The babies LOVE it, especially when they get to play with the little yellow duckies!
And Finally it was time for CAKE! Yes, my favorite part of course! Arden wasn’t much into her cake at first, but a few cheerios hidden in the back of the cake soon fixed that! LOL
