I get a lot of cute little smiles from my Newborns. The best time to catch the smile, is when they are juuuuuust starting to drift off to sleep. Once they are all wrapped up nice and cozy, they start to relax and fall into their deep sleep. Their little eyes flutter, the corner of their lips twitch and then out comes the full blown smile! Most of the time it happens when you are just putting your camera down to take a break in between shots, but every now and then you get lucky with the money shot!

Elizabeth pulled all the smiles out for her session! At one point, her smile was so big it took over her entire face! There was just nowhere else for it to go! It was so incredibly cute, and just warmed my soul. You just couldn’t help giggling with happiness!

Elizabeth’s parents contacted me a few months before her session. I try to style each one of my newborn sessions very specifically to parents requests and color schemes. They wanted flowers, pinks, greens along with a few neutral photos. Often parents walk into my studio and are overwhelmed with all the bonnets, headbands and accessories. Elizabeth’s mom saw the Unicorn Bonnet sitting on the shelf and said ‘I need that’! And so it was born, the cute little Pink Newborn Unicorn!

Their family photos had a little splash of color! Obviously they were big soccer fans and wanted to incorporate their teams shirt into their family photos. Elizabeth made the cutest little soccer fan. I think that may have bee one of daddy’s proudest moments.
