I was so excited to photograph little baby Lila’s Newborn Session at my Bridgewater, CT Studio. The first time I spoke to Lila’s mother Leanne, was well and truly before she was pregnant with Lila. She was so incredibly sweet, and had called me out of the blue to tell me that she wasn’t pregnant but she loved my work! You can imagine how excited I was for her when she called back a few months later with the exciting news!  That summer, I was lucky enough to head up to Simsbury, CT to photograph their ’Baby Reveal’. They had chosen a beautiful farm for their photos which just happened to be where my husband and I had our engagement photos taken. I was excited to be back there this time taking the photos. Apart from being a completely gorgeous couple, they were fun and laid back and so so in love. You could tell that this was such an exciting time in their lives. 

 

Since then, we have had plenty of time to design and style miss Lila’s Newborn Session. Mom wanted something creative with a touch of floral. She also wanted to include butterfly’s. She brought the most adorable butterfly wings with her to Lila’s session which we were able to incorporate into a few of the photos. I knew that Lila’s nursery had included a large giraffe, and so I was able to surprise the parents with this sweet little felted giraffe that I had found. I thought it would be perfect and adorable to capture a photograph of her hugging a little tiny giraffe. 

 

A part of my job that I love is that I get to meet some wonderful couples and capture some of the most special times in their lives as they travel through this amazing journey of falling pregnant and giving birth to a beautiful life. Wishing this beautiful little family all the happiness in the world!
